02 DMZ & Port Forwarding

The DMZ feature allows you to specify one computer on your network to be placed

outside of NAT rewall. This may be necessary if the NAT feature is causing problems

with an application such as a game or video conferencing application. Use this feature on

a temporary basis, as the computer in the DMZ is not protected from attacks by hackers.

Port Forwarding function is used to forward incoming packets of specic TCP/IP port

from outside to the assigned PC. This function is useful if you have to use VoIP or P2P

applications, or have to operate HTTP or FTP servers from a PC in the internal LAN.
